As soon as your cruise stops in the Dominican Republic (La Romana), schedule the top trip on the web.
I recently did the Saona Island VIP trip and have outright good things to say about the scheduling or the tour itself. Straight from the very start, booking from abroad, Ingrid was speedy to communicate and confirm the reservations. My family was staying near Bayahibe so that it was very easy to get to the Seavis Bayahibe premises and it was right where the guidelines claimed it would be.

Our trip commenced right on time (we were the first boat leaving of a VERY busy tour spot) and it was excellent to beat the other boats out to the Piscina Natural. We had some heavy rains come up and so we had to adjust the trip somewhat, we went immediately out to the Piscina. It was good to have the flexibility. Our trip was about 50 percent English speaking visitors and the others German speaking but Cisco, the guide, was great. His humorous rapport, enjoyable attitude, and overall know-how about the location, culture, and history made the tour an excellent one. Kudos also need to go to the captain of the boat for efficiently getting us through some quite challenging seas on the way to our ultimate beach destination of the day. It made for some entertainment!

The spots on the VIP tour were fantastic even though Saona Island receives thousands of tourists every day, it never seemed jampacked or overwhelming. The afternoon meal was amazing (with special nod to the grilled "wild" Saona Island boar). The final beach was fantastic... a beautiful tropical paradise.. It was an excellent tour and one I would endorse to anyone wanting to see Saona Island - that is a must see if you are in the vicinity.
